We're Hiring (Volunteer Positions)!

We are hiring! Volunteers that is. You'll work for puppy kisses and adoration and the hours will be long and strenuous, but it will be worth it. Read through our job descriptions below to decide which position may be best for you! Volunteer "job" applications will be open until Monday, December 24th, 2018. Decisions will be made January 1st.

Adoptions Team

Members of the adoption team will work to achieve the following tasks:

  • Manage adoptions email account, responding professionally, timely and appropriately to all adoptions emails.

  • Process adoption applications.

  • Arrange meet and greets for potential adopters.

  • Update PetFinder, Adopt-a-Pet, and Facebook when necessary.

  • Create profiles and posts to promote dogs for adoption.

  • Maintain adequate records.

  • Attend supervisory meetings.

Beneficial characteristics for this role include:

  • Sufficient typing, spelling, and grammar skills.

Events Team

The Events team will work to achieve the following tasks:

  • Implement creative events.

  • Facilitate event planning and outreach activities.

  • Adhere to the mission of the organization and publicize accurate practices of the rescue.

  • Recruit volunteers to assist with events.

  • Attend supervisory meetings.

  • Experience in event planning.

 

Foster supervisor

The Foster Supervisor will work to achieve the following tasks:

  • Communicate with foster families.

  • Facilitate foster process.

  • Arrange foster placement for new dogs in rescue.

  • Attend foster trainings and answer foster questions.
